Continuing medical education "Advanced Therapies in Oncology"
The 5-month certificate continuing medical education course "Advanced Therapies in Oncology" gives you an intensive insight into the entire field of Clinical Oncology. This includes the aetiology, epidemiology, diagnosis and therapy of solid tumours as well as malignant neoplasms of the blood-forming system. In addition, you will learn and refresh other important aspects of comprehensive cancer care: palliative care, evidence-based complementary therapy concepts, pain management and psycho-oncology. Lectures and workshops on conducting conversations in a clinical context round off the continuing education and you also have the opportunity to take advantage of a personal coaching.
Upon successful completion of this advanced continuing education, you will be fit in clinical oncology and master the current therapy concepts for patients with malignant solid tumors and malignant neoplasms of the hematopoietic system. Together with your patients, you can make the best possible evidence-based treatment decisions and initiate supportive measures when needed.
A very special highlight of this comprehensive training course is an optional participation in the ESO Masterclass in Clinical Oncology, which is organized by the European School of Oncology. The Masterclass is held at different European locations. As part of a group of leading international oncologists, you will take part in the plenary sessions on solid tumours and have the opportunity to present and discuss your own oncological cases.
Prof. Dr. Stephan Stilgenbauer:
Challenging and compact. Advanced Therapies provides a deep insight into the entire therapeutic spectrum of cancer treatment.
